As Manager of Preconstruction and Estimating, Victor oversees the estimating process for all of Tucker Mechanical’s bid and awarded projects.
Utilizing an expansive historical cost database and bid management and estimating software, Victor establishes standards for future estimates based upon analysis of past project performance. Leading a team of five, he has the final word on procedures, processes, techniques and personnel decisions for assigned projects.
In all his work, Victor strives to provide outstanding service and build effective, long-term relationships with customers, design teams, specialty contractors, and suppliers.
Expertise
Victor’s career in the mechanical construction industry spans more than three decades, the majority of which he has been a part of the Tucker Mechanical team. He entered the industry as a boiler estimator, working his way up through the ranks to his current position and honing his skills along the way.
Victor has extensive experience in conceptual estimating – a highly specialized form of estimating that, with only minimal information, can provide customers the data they need to make informed decisions.
Additionally, Victor also worked as an energy consultant for two years, providing him a different, unique perspective on customer needs.
The Personal Side
Victor enjoys spending his free time with his grandson and traveling. For hobbies, he restores vintage jukeboxes and builds suitcase-based computer gaming systems.
